Matchworld Football SA is one of the world’s leading matches organizers. The company has a.o. organized the first edition of the Matchworld Women’s Cup between 15 and 20 June 2011 in Switzerland, more precisely in Savièse (VS), Apples (VD) and Naters (VS). Four national teams – among which two were qualified for the Women’s World Cup which took place the month after in Germany – took part in this tournament, namely New Zealand, Colombia, Denmark and Wales.
After three days of competition Denmark won the trophy, being only one point ahead from New Zealand. This tournament has been a true success and has allowed the four national teams to gain experience as well as, concerning New Zealand and Colombia, to prepare for the World Cup 2011 the best possible way.
This year, Matchworld Football SA organizes the second edition of this tournament from 14th to 17th July. Four world-renowned women’s national teams will compete: Brazil, Canada, Colombia and New Zealand. Each team will play two matches, which will allow them to have an ideal preparation before the big event of this summer to which all four nations will participate: the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
The 2nd edition of the „Matchworld Women’s Cup“ already looks very promising thanks to the top-level participating teams coming from different continents. This tournament will be broadcasted on a high number of TV channels all around the world.
